How to best use Welcome Videos in Glisser

The three ways to get the very most out of an introductory video are:

πŸ“£ Establish the brand or purpose of the event
πŸ—ΊοΈ Explain how to use the platform and provide attendees with navigation
πŸ’Έ Sell it as a premium position sponsorship opportunity

πŸ“£ Establish the brand or purpose of the event

This is the default purpose of the welcome video and the primary reason we implemented this feature.

If you are hosting an event and your attendee isn't already thoroughly familiar with your brand, or the purpose of your event, this is the perfect opportunity to deliver the answer to that big WHY? You can deliver the value your brand or event has to offer with an introductory message that is personalized to your audience. Some additional ideas for this branding piece could be highlights from your previous events, success stories, testimonials, and special announcements.

Set the scene for your event with a branded video.

πŸ—ΊοΈ Explain how to navigate the platform and participate in the event

Another solid option for the Welcome Video feature is to deliver instructions on how your audience can best interact within your event, such as where they can go and what they can do.

In fact, here is a great example of a walkthrough video – and it's branded generically, so you could even use this as the welcome video for your own event!

Provide a platform walkthrough at the beginning of your event so your audience can more easily engage.

πŸ’Έ Sell the welcome video as a premium position sponsorship opportunity

In the virtual and hybrid events world, you never want to miss an opportunity to add value to your sponsors and revenue for your stakeholders. There are few advertising positions more exciting than the welcome video of your event.

Now that you have some ideas for your welcome video, here's a refresher on how to set it up within the event host side of the Glisser platform.

Easy Implementation

Adding the welcome video to your event takes less than a minute.

On your Events menu, select your event, and click Edit Event. Next, toggle the "Welcome Video" option to ON. Doing this will pop up the Welcome Video Settings.

Just select your Content Source (e.g., Vimeo, YouTube), fill in the link, and click Save. Your Welcome Video will now display to all attendees entering your event!
